The Bollywood Film Raazi is based on a true story of an Indian girl spy who was sent to Pakistan to collect the information during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Alia Bhatt and Vickey Kaushal starring the new upcoming Bollywood movie Raazi is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat.

Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 is one of the shortest wars in the history.This Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 led the creation of Bangladesh(also known as East Pakistan after the partition of India in 1947). The green land of Bangladesh was painted red. It was painted red by Bengali blood.
According to the Wikipedia, ‘It is estimated that between 300,000 and 3,000,000 civilians were killed in Bangladesh.As a result of the conflict, a further eight to ten million people fled the country to seek refuge in India.’

Raazi is a story of an Indian spy married to a Pakistani man. Hidayat (Rajit Kapoor) an Indian father sends her daughter Sehmat (Alia Bhatt) to Pakistan after getting her married to a Pakistani army Iqbal(Vicky Kaushal). Sehmat does all her best to keep informing India about all the minute activities of Pakistan against India. She faces many ups and down in her life due to this. Under the banner of Dharma Productions, though there are many Bollywood film have made on such valour activities but in most of them the protagonists were male but in Raazi an agent the protagonist is female. In the trailer itself argues that, in the history of India there are many who have been never awarded and got medals but sacrificed their lives just for the Tiranga (हमारे इतिहास में ऐसे कए लोग हैं जिन्हें कोई इनाम कोई मैडल नहीं मिलता, हम उनक नाम तक नहीं जानते, नाही उन्हें पहचानते हैं सिर्फ वतन के झंडे पर अपनी याद छोड़ जाते हैं).

The movie Raazi goes back into the war period of 1971. The film is directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Vineet Jain, Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar & Apoorva Mehta. Gulzar has penned its lyrics which has composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy. the movie is shot on varoius location of Punjab and Jammu-Kashmir which illuminates its cinemetagrophy. the review is based on the trailer.Bhavani Iyer & Meghna Gulzar’s screenplay opens the very unkown hidden facts about this war which will be revealed on 11th May this year when Raazi is going to hit screen.
